Our Top Spam ScumbagsSpammers try to hide. If you ever get them by the collar, they weasel through their litany... "you asked for email", "sorry, just a mistake", "our customer desk will sort out the problem"... then they slide back under the rock. Aside from illegally using your address, and sending you email without permission, they also use illegal practices like hijacking your computer to send the mail... and share their profits with unscrupulous ISPs to get internet access. And if asked what they do, they are "businessmen". That's what mobster Al Capone called himself ;-). You can look at spamhaus.org and cauce.org for more information about "spam and punishment". Some happy endings there... but in the short run, only the top spammers are arrested and jailed. But then... why should we all be quiet while they flood our internet with oceans of their sludge? We all have some internet presence these days, why not add a tribute to your favourite spam slimeball ? ;-). Use your email sig, your Facebook profile, lots of choices ! Our favourite spammers are the ones who put on a show of being legal and legitimate. And especially when they persuade legal businesses to partner with them. Here's our list, just one to start: FANBRIDGE: Bands who use Fanbridge include "Flat River Band". They bother you with unwanted email, day after day : why would you ever buy anything from Flat River Band? If any spamer feels hard done by, and would like to send us the stock threatening letter, we will be pleased to publish it here. And, yes, our spammer service desk will deal with your complaint. Eventually, some day, maybe. ;-)
